British Airways Brings Festive Cheer with a Truly British Christmas Celebration

On the auspicious occasion of Christmas, British Airways is going to bring Christmas joy to the cabins. The customers are going to get special services and treats for the holidays, and the seasonal menu and festive gifts are going to be added as well. The special treatment will start from the airport; in its lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick there will be Christmas-themed festive stalls, a special picnic menu, and special gift-wrapping stations. There will be various offerings as well, like chocolates from Harry Specters and The Cocobean Company; in the Concorde room they will offer hand-piped baked goods by Biscuiteers. Moreover, the customers might get a chance to taste Talisker's 45-year-old limited edition Scotch whiskey. Cranberry sandwiches, mince pies, Brie, and Christmas cocktails, and also the gift-wrapping service, will be available in all the British Airlines Heathrow lounges.

As Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, has said, “Christmas is such a special time, and this year is no different. We want to make it truly special, so we have pulled out all the stops to spread some cheer and create a truly British Original Christmas. To our customers, wherever you are traveling and however you may celebrate, we hope that you enjoy our extra touches throughout your journey this festive season delivered by our incredible colleagues. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!”

During the flight, passengers will be served festive drink options like BrewDog Hoppy Christmas IPA and Christmas Tea. In the afternoon, they will be offered fruitcake, Chocolate eclair, and tea. Also, Winter Warmer Cocktail and Cartwright and Butler fudge will be offered as additional gifts. A luxury gift will be given to the first-class customers who will travel from the 23 to the 25th of December: a limited-edition Christmas amenity kit designed by Alice Temperley. The special seasonal menu contains the traditional British turkey dinner with vegetarian options available for vegetarians. Also, the travelers will receive Christmas hats between the 15th to 27th of December with meals. The airline has targeted over 40,000 pigs in blankets, 250,000 turkey dinners, and more than 700,000 Brussels sprouts to be served to the passengers for the whole festive season. The young travelers or children will be offered holiday chocolate treats and Peggy and Leon activity sheets and will be able to send special mail to the North Pole to Santa's Letterbox in Heathrow's Terminal 5 lounges.

The special services are also available for short-haul flights; customers can choose their favorite Christmas delight from options like The Jolly Hog ‘pigs in blankets’ roll, a variety of drinks including BrewDog’s Elf lager, sweet treats from Pullins Bakery, Tom Kerridge’s ultimate turkey feast sandwich, and Bottlegreen Edwards’ Vodka Raspberry Spritz, all this from its High Life Cafe. British Airlines has sponsored the Royal Albert Hall as a part of "Christmas at Hall" carol concerts; all the donations collected will be split in half between the Royal Albert Hall’s engagement program and Alzheimer's society. The airline also allowed the Alzheimer's Society choir to its Christmas event.
