What is the baggage allowance for Skippers Aviation? 

Skippers Aviation is a regional Australian Airline that has its main hub at the Perth Airport and flies to 9 domestic destinations. What are the fees for excess baggage on Skippers Aviation?

If the weight of the baggage is more than the allowed weight, an excess baggage fee is applicable for you to pay. The airline charges an amount of $7.50 per extra kilogram to be carried on the flight. However, the excess baggage you are carrying shall depend on some points to be carried, such as if there is space availability and other additional details. Other than weight, the excess baggage is also applicable to the size of the bag, which must be within 158 cm. Thus, any item exceeding the allowed size or weight will not be accepted on the aircraft without an extra excess baggage fee payment.  

What are the weight limits for excess baggage on Skippers Aviation?

The excess baggage weight limit cannot exceed more than 100 kg. These items will be cunted as freight and not necessarily on the flight you travel; the freight will be carried on the same. Thus, re-verify the weight of the baggage you are carrying on the airline.  

What is the cabin baggage allowance for Skippers Aviation?

Inside the cabin, only 4 kg baggage can be carried. An extra one-kilogram weight can only be carried, and this shall not be included in the free baggage. This will cost you more than excess cabin baggage. You can carry one cabin luggage, one small bag or briefcase, and one suit pack or soft-sided on the aircraft on board inside the cabin. The articles that can be carried in the cabin luggage are as follows:

  • Instant food for consumption
  • Magazines and newspapers
  • Prosthetic items
  • Wheelchair and infant carriers
  • Personal laptops, etc. 

What items cannot be carried on the aircraft? 

For the reservation you have with Skippers Aviation, they have certain restrictions and allowances that you are allowed to take on the aircraft. A list of these items that cannot be carried are as follows:

  • Dangerous goods, like explosives, munitions, flares, fireworks, insecticides, radioactive materials, poisons 
  • Infectious substances, like virus-spreading items, infected needles, and other contaminated goods 
  • Corrosives, such as alkalines, mercury, wet-cell batteries, etc. 
  • Compressed gasses can include refrigerants, butane gas, aqualung cylinders
  • E-cigarettes and drugs as banned by the government
  • Flammable items, like ghee, oil, dry or wet coconut, and many more.
