A Voepass Brazil Flight Crash killed 62 in all

Voepass, a regional aircraft carrying 62 people, rashed west of Sao Paulo, killing all of the occupants along with the crew. The plane was falling out of the sky and spiraling into the city, as captured in some social media footage. The plane was supposed to take off from Cascavel, Parana, and land in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo. It lost altitude for a minute and a half before crashing and fell off around 250 feet every ten seconds. The officials from the airline have not yet disclosed an explanation for the accident, as the reasons are yet under investigation. The plane crashed near the city center highway in Sao Paulo. 

"The plane, identified as Voepass Flight 2238, was seen falling to the ground in Vinhedo, Brazil. The state's fire brigade has reportedly confirmed on social media that a plane crashed in Vinhedo. As per the reports, the plane landed in a residential area. However, no one on the ground was injured. The aircraft reached a height of 17000 feet before abruptly descending 250 feet at 1.21 pm Brazil Local Time. Then, in a matter of seconds, it ascended 400 feet and only persisted for eight seconds. As per Flightradar24 data, it then plunged more than 2000 feet again, and then once again by 17000 feet in the next second. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil, has expressed his sincere condolences for the accident and has declared a three-day mourning for those who passed away as a result of it. 

As posted by Flightradar24 on X, it read, "The aircraft involved is PS-VPB, a 14-year-old ATR72-500 built in 2010. The flight, #2Z2283, left Cascavel (CAC) at 14:56UTC bound for Sao Paulo (GRU). The last signal we received from the aircraft was at 16:22UTC". 

The local fire brigade also confirmed that the crash happened in the city but did not provide any detailed information. A news channel, GloboNews, aired the incident, which showed flames and smoke blowing out. The aircraft's spiral movements were also seen. 

The airline has informed the media that an inquiry is underway since the cause of the plane crash is still under investigation.
