The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has stunned the entire aviation sector. A continuous flight suspension to Tel Aviv has had a knock-on effect on every sector, including tourism, overall GDP growth, employment, etc. Nevertheless, such suspensions occur against the backdrop of safety measures in the rise of the Middle East crisis. The imprint of these volatile situations is not restricted to the origin country but also knocked out eclectic routes, including Lebanon and Jordan. Let us spill the beans by displaying which airlines have halted their services:
The Internet is brimming with a similar concern: "How is the conflict affecting flights to Tel Aviv?" The consequences are neither in favor of airlines nor for the domestic growth in all sectors. Let us dive into the points and know what all airlines have put their services to Tel Aviv and its neighboring countries on hold;
Both American and Delta have suspended all their operations to and from Tel Aviv amid tensions between Israel and Iran. The emergence of the crisis has raised concerns over airspace safety.
American Airlines suspended operations until December 4, 2024, whereas Delta halted between New York and Tel Aviv until November 21, 2024.
The decision to cancel the itinerary to/from Tel Aviv is not restricted to it only but extends to its surrounding countries, including Lebanon and Jordan. Despite not being directly involved in the conflict, aviation service providers expect a potential risk to their operations in these countries.
Nevertheless, not all International flights are put on hold. Instead, the number of flights has been diminished.
KLM, part of the Franco-Dutch airline group Air France-KLM, has suspended all its flights to/from Tel Aviv until October 26, 2024; however, Air France has put all its operations since August 27, 2024.
Also, another low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group has terminated its services until March 31, 2025, including Amman and Beirut. Nevertheless, they may resume all the services by November 3, 2024.
The Tata-group-owned airline has also terminated all its services to/from Tel Aviv amidst the ongoing crisis between Israel and Iran. However, Air India's officials did not release any tentative date for resuming its aviation services.
They also have terminated their itineraries to/from Tel Aviv until March 30, 2025, to mitigate potential risks.
